Author Bio:
Talitha Morena Moniz McMillion (they/them) is a LatIndigenous storyteller and dedicated activist from the Charrúa Nation in the south of Brazil. Passionate about exploring the intersectionality of writing and social politics, Talitha's stories explore themes of everlasting love and wisdom within Indigenous families. In 2023, Talitha was selected for the Las Musas Mentorship Program and has been writing picture books under the guidance of award-winning author Aida Salazar. Talitha lives in North Carolina with their two rescue dogs, Sir Spots and Mister Trooper and works for peta2 (PETA's youth movement) as an Assistant Correspondent.
